YMCA 1925 Sterling Silver & Enamel STATE OPEN Antique Basketball Award Medallion

Description

This antique, c. 1925, YMCA award medallion measures 23mm total length incl top loop x 16mm wide x 3mm thick in profile, marked STERLING silver, JOSTEN, OWATONNA.  The front depicts a sculpted relief of two basketball players within a black enameled and sculpted frame, reading Y.M.C.A. at the bottom.  The back is ornately engraved STATE OPEN 25.  In very good antique condition, commensurate with its age; silver tarnished, enamel glossy and intact, details and engraving sharp and clear.  Weighs 7.8g.
