Transmit/ Receive ( T/R) Control Module. Features:
* Teflon /Silver SO-239 connectors
* Die Cast Aluminum Enclosure.
* Antenna switching ( SPDT), 300WCW, 500WSSB power class.
* Electronic Relay Control: Power FET Driven 3PDT 6VDC relay. ( Relay features 25A contacts)
*AC line isolated ( Power transformer) and fused, a SAFETY NECESSITY( AC Line Fuse may be either a panel mounted exterior accessible OR an interior fuse holder ( accessible by removing enclosure lid)
*Auxiliary terminal strip with SPDT relay connections accessible ( Receive Muting, other auxiliary switching).
* PTT Line switching current: 0.8ma dc.
* Receiver Antenna shorted to ground in the "Transmit" mode.
* Interface cable assembly features teflon 115vac wire and a separate (green) ground wire for connection to the supplying transmitter chassis **
** If you have a stand alone transmitter and wish to use this TR module, email us the transmitter schematic and we will work up the "interface" wiring diagram for you and modify the TR unit for use with your stand alone transmitter. **
*AC and RF grounds common with this die cast enclosure
*Receiver antenna shorted in transmit.
*1/4" Panel mounted female jack for connections to an external PTT (EG: foot switch) connection.  ( Barrier terminal strip interface available). With the Johnson transmitter as the 115VAC source, the panel mounted female 1/4" jack is configured to (shorting).
*Very low external PTT current: 0.8ma dc.
*Rubber bumpers on bottom provide non-skid and non-marring.
*These TR Control Modules are custom built and may differ in appearance , depending on parts used and layout.

Designed for the EF Johnson series of transmitters ( Ranger, Valiant, Viking), this versatile TR control module is also easily adaptable to a wide variety of Ham Radio Transmitters
Standard Configuration" Power source is the Johnson Transmitter.  Transmitter power capability: 300 W CW ( CARRIER) class. We furnished one of these to a customer who is using a B&K 5100, we customized the keying circuit for use with that transmitter.
Unit interconnect cable /connector assembly is configured for use with Johnson Transmitters.( Barrier Strip Option in place of the Johnson Custom Interface Cable is aviilable). The keying current is very low (0.8ma) and thus this module may be used successfully with a transmitter ( or receiver) that employs solid state switching.
