Operate
these
Kenwood Shortwave Receivers
on 12 to 14 Volt DC from a regulated power source
slide heat-shrink tubing over red wire near inline fuse-holder before splicing & soldering wires
Install a
1 Amp 3AG = AGC fuse
in the fuse-holder if you are building a
DCK-1
power conversion kit
Install a
2
Amp 3AG = AGC fuse
in the inline fuse-holder if you are building a
DCK-2
power kit
use long-nose pliers to
crimp
tin-plated connectors
onto 1 foot red/black wire (+ solder)
for DCK-1 or -2
solder
other end of 1-ft red & black wire to the
Black 2-pin power jack
(match colors to power cord).
use
butane lighter or heat gun
on heat-shrink tubing covering splices & socket-pin connectors
Mount Black 2 pin power jack
in hole on the back of your receiver using the supplied 3 x 12 MM bolts
order DCK-1 for R-600 & R-1000 if you do not have soldering skills
order DCK-2 for R-2000 & R-5000 if you do not have soldering skills
