ITEM DESCRIPTION
:
25-foot Microphone Extension Cable Kit for 20-pin Motorola radios, i.e.:
CDM750, CDM1250, CDM1550, CDM1550LS+, PRO Series.
May be extended by installer with CAT5 cable up to 1000 feet.
Kit Includes:
20-pin radio accessory plug pre-wired with 25' of cable
Surface mount receptacle to accept a user-supplied standard mic  (keypad mics not supported)
10' receive audio cable with coupling transformer
Complete hookup instructions
Mic receptacle measures 1.00 x 1.42 x 2.30" and includes mounting hardware.  Receptacle is supplied unattached to cable to simplify cable routing.  After routing cable, simply punch down (3) wires onto Keystone jack terminals and make two splice connections inside receptacle housing
.  Diagram and instructions included for easy hookup.  No soldering required.
Two (2) microphones - one plugged into front mic jack, other into rear accessory port via this cable - may be connected simultaneously for transmission from either mic.
Flying leads are provided on the radio plug for optional ignition sense and
local
external speaker (at or near radio).  These may be connected if desired but don't have to be.
Low level receive audio
is brought out of the mic receptacle to a
coupling transformer
which accepts a 3.5mm plug from a pair of user-supplied powered computer speakers, or other amplified speaker(s);   or may be connected to the aux input of a public address amplifier.  An extra pair of powered computer speakers equipped with 3.5mm plug can be found in many households,  or purchased inexpensively.  One popular model is the Logitech Z150 or equivalent.  Just plug them into the coupling transformer to monitor receive audio at the remote mic location with independent volume adjustment unaffected by the radio volume control.
