Just in time for Christmas, from my collection of check writers and typewriters. Trying to down size. This is a super nice clean J N WILLIAMS check punch, 1895 last patent date, working condition, see sample punches. It actually cuts out each number, see last two pictures.  Made by J N Williams Brady Mfg. Co., same co. as Williams typewriter. Interesting Caution on back, Do not allow local mechanics or traveling tinkers to tamper with this machine. It can only be repaired at OUR FACTORY and cost you less money.
