2008--ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S "39 STEPS"--BASED ON ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S MOVIE OF THE SAME NAME--AT CORT THEATRE ON BROADWAY--ORIGINAL PLAYBILL.....Here's a wonderful original playbill from the amazing melodrama "39 STEPS", based on a 1915 novel by John Buchan and the 1935 movie "39 Steps", directed by Alfred Hitchcock, at the Cort Theatre in New York....An earlier version of the play was produced in 1995 and mainly played in small villages around the U.K....In 2006 Patrick Barlow came up with a new adaptation, from the original concept by Simon Corbie and Nobby Simon, and it became a huge success as "John Buchan's 39 Steps", starring Martyn Ellis, Josefina Gabrielle, Simon Gregor and Simon Paisley Day...Opened in the West End in 2006 and ran for 9 years--5th longest running play in West End history (see my separate auction for a program from the London performance)...In 2008 this Broadway version was entitled Alfred Hitchcock's "39 Steps" and  starred Arnie Burton, Jennifer Ferrin, Sam Robards and Cliff Sunders and was directed by Maria Airken..."Who's Who in the Cast", with bios and info on all the cast and major creative folks.....This program is in  overall
