Matching-numbers 1980 911SC Targa.
The car received a mechanical overhaul and top-end rebuild by experienced mechanics at Porsche St. Louis. The repairs included: new head studs, pistons, cylinders, rockers, main camshaft, rocker arm, oil return tubes, oil hoses, gaskets/seals/rings. The engine starts up immediately every time and runs smoothly.
Also fixed the speedometer, oil temperature and level gauge, and clock. Well over ,000 in mechanical work done in the last year to make it daily-drivable. I have documentation of all repairs.
After market exhaust was added by a previous owner, which only amplifies the car’s original engine sound. Cold start video is included.
Other work done under prior ownership in 2020 by a specialist shop in South Carolina: air box pop-off valve, oil lines, filters and returns, air filter housing, valve cover gaskets, CV boot, alternator belt, fuel injector, ignition control module, brake master cylinders, brake hoses, brake calipers, door stays (reinforcement).
Chain tensioners were also done by previous owner.
Reluctantly selling as a result of a job change.
